Udinese Coach Julio Velazquez felt the 3-0 defeat to Napoli was “very harsh, as we deserved at least a draw.”
Fabian Ruiz came off the bench to curl in a spectacular opener, then Dries Mertens converted a penalty and late on Marko Rog added a third.
“Napoli found it easy for the first 10-15 minutes to pass the ball around us, but then we got a handle on the situation and created several good chances to equalise, but they did well to double their lead,” Velazquez told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are lacking a bit of confidence, but we’ve taken on so many of the big clubs already this season. We’ve got to just focus on the next match and try to pick up points wherever we can.
“I think we did better today compared to our performance against Juventus and deserved at least a draw. The 3-0 result was very harsh.
“We’re a young team and need to work on some aspects of our game.”
